LFTL Tour Update – Important Announcement
After careful and prayerful consultation with our District Leadership team, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our 2020 Light for the Lost Tour that was scheduled to take place next week (March 16, 17, & 19). Let me assure you that this was NOT a reactionary decision, but one based in our desire to protect those who would be gathering at our events from the potential exposure and further spread of the Coronavirus (CONVID-19). Our entire District Leadership team agreed that these actions taken in the short-term would better prepare us for the long-term well-being of our people and our ministries. Thus, the cancellation of our event was in coordination with other district departments with the cancellation of all district-sponsored events through next week.
Obviously, one of the significant challenges we face as a result of this cancellation are the funds we hoped to raise to support Light for the Lost. We are trusting God to assist us in this effort, so we are asking you to be in prayer concerning how God will use you to support LFTL this year, AND in what amount. You can go to somoag.org, click on the giving tab in the upper right hand corner, and scroll to down to Light for the Lost to give your gift. We will be reaching out to you in coming days to discuss how you can help us share the light of Jesus to the darkest places of our world.
Thank you for your understanding, and may God bless you in the days ahead!
